Sarah Wiskerchen, MBA, CPC, Consultant
Sarah Wiskerchen understands the complex organizational, operational, and financial issues faced by private and academic group practices. She helps physicians and staff design effective operational systems and organizations, with particular attention toward efficient reimbursement systems and accurate financial analysis.
With significant consulting work in Orthopaedics, Otolaryngology, and Neurosurgery, Sarah has consulted with more than 230 clients, encompassing over 1,300 physicians in 24 specialties. A KZA Associate since 1994, Sarah draws upon ten years of consulting, and six years of experience as a practice administrator, to effectively communicate and collaborate with physicians, managers, staff, and hospital and practice plan administrators.
Sarah’s consulting projects include overall practice evaluations, redesigning billing processes for increased collection effectiveness, assessing external billing service performance, analyzing fee schedules to maximize reimbursement, expense-per-RVU analysis, managed care contract and reimbursement analysis, and physician compensation modeling.
In addition, Sarah uses her operational expertise and direct administrative experience to assist practices with recruitment of office managers and practice administrators. For managers new to a practice setting, Sarah provides customized training, orientation, and coaching for an effective start in a new position.
Sarah holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, and a Bachelor’s degree in business and finance from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
