Correct Coding = Cash

Yep, it’s true. Coding mistakes, misuse of modifiers, confusion about office posting, and failure to track denials all lead to a huge revenue loss in plastic surgery practices nationwide.

You can do better. And, when the aesthetic income is down, your reconstructive practice can’t be leaking money. During the good times, many practices let their coding skills wither.

One manager told us it had been 20 years since she last attended a course. Folks, there have been at least 100 coding changes and three times as many rule changes. If you wouldn’t want a surgeon with 20-year-old skills operating on you, why would a surgeon want staff with decades old know-how (or lack thereof) submitting claims?

Don’t say “it costs too much!” Airfares have never been lower. The hotel is reasonable. And, besides what is the cost of ignorance, indifference, and misinformation in your office?
...A LOT!

ASPS is offering a coding and reimbursement skills workshop on April 24 and 25th in San Diego. Featured speaker, Kim Pollock, RN, MBA, CPC, a seasoned coding instructor for surgical practices will demonstrate and illustrate plastic surgery coding using dozens of real world examples. Kim has more than 20 years of refreshing experience educating plastic surgeons, neurosurgeons, spine surgeons and ENTs on the art and science of coding.

Plastic surgeons Paul Schnur and Hooman Soltanian will provide clinical insights on coding dilemmas.

Sign up today in the Medical Professionals section of the ASPS website at www.plasticsurgery.org!
Or call 1(800) 766-4955.

This workshop will pay for itself and then some. Don’t leave revenue on the table, in the office, or at the OR.
