The recent Q&A in the February 2009 CPT Assistant regarding pre-op H&P’s is under review based on the simplified answer that is contrary to the Surgical Package Definition. The AMA is involved thanks to the AAOS CPT Committee and will provide a written clarification to the February Q&A. Stay tuned for more information!
