Coding Education You Can’t Afford To Miss

Think you know all you need to know about coding? Think coding education is a luxury you can skip in a recession year? That kind of thinking could be dangerous. Even Albert Pujols, the most feared hitter in baseball, has a batting coach. Your coding skills need an annual tune-up – especially this year! You cannot afford claim denials and the impact incorrect coding has on your AR.

Here is what you need to do. Attend the American College of Surgeons Coding and Reimbursement Workshop in St. Louis on May 14–15. Then, treat yourself to a baseball game. Albert Pujols and the St. Louis Cardinals play division rival Milwaukee Brewers Friday night, May 15th at 7:15pm. Click here to order tickets. After all the knowledge you gain from attending our course you’ll deserve it.

In Thursday’s course, Introduction to CPT, ICD-9-CM, and Evaluation and Management Coding, Betsy Nicoletti will show you how to avoid making costly coding mistakes, learn the reimbursement rules and when to appeal inappropriate denials, as well as exploring the importance of key financial reports along with steps to improve the reimbursement process.

Then, on Friday, coding genius Mary LeGrand will build off those basic principles in her more advanced course 2009 Surgical and Office-Based Coding and Reimbursement and focus on application of coding principles to surgical scenarios. This course addresses the modifiers that are important before, during, and after the surgical procedure.

Our courses are the real deal. Attendees will code complex examples direct from the field by KZA consultants. The experience pays off. When surveyed about their experience, over 98% of past ACS course attendees said they would recommend the course to a colleague. 96% said the course exceeded their expectations. Here’s what a few of them had to say:

"This course was very informative. I learned many coding solutions and more importantly, identified several areas where I was leaving money on the table."

"The seminar was very interesting. Our speaker did a great job explaining complex coding situations."

"Great speaker! She was very direct. I was educated on a lot. I was submitting many claims without modifiers, a mistake I won’t be making again!"
