Change Management
Course Overview
Whether it is onboarding a new physician, implementing EMR, instituting a pre-surgical financial counseling and collections process, or merging with another practice, it is organizational change. In our modern times, initiated from within the practice or externally, organizational change should be seen as a given and as constant. Studies show, however, that 70% of the population is “uncomfortable” with change.
With 70% of your staff, your physician group (maybe even you) uncomfortable with change, managing it successfully is especially challenging. To compound the issue, how an administrator manages organizational change may directly impact the practice’s solvency and future success.
This lively and interactive session will cover: initiating, planning and coordinating change; managing responses to externally imposed change; leadership during times of organizational change. The program will include the following aspects of organizational change.
Highlights of this session include:
- Identifying opportunities that change presents
- Communicating effectively during organizational development
- Overcoming employee resistance
